About

Hi, my name is Corrie, AKA The Soap Lady, welcome to 3 Sisters Soaps & Scents! It’s a bath & body shop ran from our cozy 1930’s PA bungalow. My vintage kitchen is where I make small batches of cold & hot process, conflict palm oil free soaps, lotions, potions, salves, & balms formulated for sensitive skin.

Soaping is a science but I enjoy and prefer to focus on the artsy side of soap making. By adding spices, herbs, & flowers from my organically grown garden, I add visual interest, exfoliation, and color to my soaps.

I am strict with how I scent my products. I try my best to only scent with essential oils that are steam distilled (never solvent extracted), and organic when affordable and available. I never use synthetic fragrance oils. Sometimes a pure essential oil is out of stock, ridiculously expensive, or behaves poorly in soaping then I use a Nature Identical Essential Oil. Nature Identical Essential Oils are a blend of essential oils and various aromatic compounds. The ones I use are free of synthetics, parabens, and phalates. They are pure & natural but are not therapeutic grade therefore I will only use these in soaps.

The base/carrier oils and butters I use are cold pressed and/or organic when affordable/available. When I use an animal product it is always sourced locally from a humane farm. I put love into everything I make. I hope you can feel that when you use my products. Namaste.

The mission is to create effective bath & beauty products while wisely using the goodness Mother Earth offers. She is giving. She is awesome. Everyday I worship and tend to her lovingly by composting, organically gardening heirlooms, raising chickens for compost aeration, their glorious nitrogen rich poop, and pest control. We even have bunnies which means more manure! I am crazy about reducing, reusing, re-purposing before recycling my waste.

When purchasing raw materials I try to source them responsibly, fair trade or organic, to help improve other sacred being’s lives. People who harvest the raw materials deserve fair wages and a healthy environment as do the animals who depend on quality forests, water, and air.
